Optimal burning conditions for your candle result in more concentrated scent and a longer life!
Before each use, trim your candle’s wick to ¼”. This keeps the flame low and reduces smoke and the ugly black soot that can form around your container.
Choose a space for your candle that is free from drafts which could cause the flame to concentrate on one side of the candle wall and burn unevenly.
Allow your candle to burn until the wax pool extends to the container’s edge. In other words, burn your candle for a few hours at a time.
Shorter durations create an uneven surface and will shorten the life of your candle.
A good rule of thumb is to burn your candle approximately one hour per every inch in diameter.
Longer burns also maximize the candle’s fragrance power, or “throw,” in candle-speak.
Of course, never leave a burning candle unattended!
